Aamir Khan is making a much-anticipated return to the big screen with 'Sitaare Zameen Par'. Fans have eagerly awaited his comeback after he took a break following 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. The film, a remake of the Spanish movie 'Champions', has already received encouraging early reviews.

Notably, author and philanthropist Sudha Murty, known for her extensive work in children’s literature, attended a special screening and shared her thoughts in a video released by Aamir Khan’s production house. She praised the film, calling it an eye-opener. Murty highlighted how the movie sensitively portrays children often labeled as "not normal," emphasizing their purity, sensitivity, and joyful nature. She said, “These are great and deep philosophical lessons which we learn from these people (the characters in the film).”

Murty further added, “The movie is inclusive of these people, and they have their own kingdom of mind and work. This movie can bring about a lot of changes, actually. We should include them in our normal system and try to rehabilitate them in a normal way. Thank you very much for such a great opportunity to see a great movie by Aamir Khan.”

The film received a standing ovation at the screening and stars Aamir Khan alongside Genelia D’souza. When asked about the age difference between him and Genelia — who was previously cast opposite his nephew Imran Khan in 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' — Aamir laughed it off, saying, “Ya, I know. That thought did come to me. But that was a long time ago. And ab Imran bhi kaafi meri age ka ho gaya hai.”

Addressing the notion of a comeback, Aamir clarified in an interview with News18 that he doesn’t see 'Sitaare Zameen Par' as one. He explained, “Well, I'm not considering it a comeback film, quite honestly. My films usually come out once in three years anyway. A lot of actors have 8 to 10 flops, but we don't call those comebacks, do we? I've had just one flop, and you're calling it a comeback? I haven't gone anywhere.”

Directed by RS Prasanna, the film also features Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, and Ashish Pendse. 'Sitaare Zameen Par' is slated to release on June 20.
